Cooperative Institute Committee
The Cooperative Institute Committee is a standing committee of the Research Council that is responsible for establishing and reviewing all procedures pertaining to Cooperative Institutes, implementation of Cooperative Institute policy, and the provision of aggregate financial and performance information on Cooperative Institutes upon request of the Research Council or any other NOAA office. The Committee holds regular meetings, at least six times per year on the second Wednesday of the month or at the call of the Chair.
Membership
The Committee consists of a representative from each Line Office and the NOAA Acquisition and Grants Office. An attorney from the Federal Assistance Law Division within the Department of Commerce Office of General Counsel is available as an advisor to the Committee. Members are appointed by Chair of the Research Council based on recommendations from the Research Council Line Office representatives and the Director of the Office of Acquisitions and Grants.
